The Design Process
At Skapandi the in depth mechanical design experience that our engineers provide is supported by an excellent in house manufacturing facility; these two combined enables us to create excellent solutions for you, our customer.
With long term investments in the latest 3D Computer Aided Design Software and training, Skapandi is constantly evolving to stay ahead. We own several licenses of SolidWorks; this 3D CAD software compliments our CamWorks CAM solution to provide a seamless progression from design to manufacture, resulting in a hassle-free, smooth project from concept to completion.
How we work
We work with you throughout the design process. After receiving your initial brief and learning more about the product requirements; you will be assigned a dedicated Skapandi engineer that will be the same point of contact through the lifecycle of the project.
Once we have reviewed the brief we will work to provide concept designs in 3D CAD for client review. As part of this concept development we will look at the most efficient manufacturing methods and materials. This concept is formally discussed at a client design review; all outcomes of this review are then incorporated.
completing the process
The final stage is to produce a full detailed 3D CAD model and manufacturing drawings that outlines form, fit and function. Once you, the customer are happy to proceed we can than manufacture the product as a prototype or in small / large batch quantities.
Rest assured that throughout your project will be managed professionally and effectively.
CAD DATA. ENHANCED
We utilise a range of technologies to take 3D CAD data in to a natural or realistic environment, by adding real word lighting and material information we can enhance 3D models and take them to the next stage for internal & external sales or marketing, product promotion or to influence stakeholders.
CAD Visualisation Software
Images can be readily manipulated providing endless creative possibilities in setting, finish, lighting, cutaways and view angles. The flexibility of CAD visualisation software can also add drama and dynamism which would be difficult and time consuming to achieve with standard photographic techniques.
What we do
We are a team of designers, engineers and time-served machinists who are passionate about engineering and improving performance. Regardless of the project – from bespoke component parts to highly complex projects – we always take a pragmatic and no-nonsense approach.
Functional design that can be economically produced within a given timescale
We have a comprehensive state of the art machine shop to make your ideas a reality
We listen, understand, develop and test to solve problems and improve processes
